So all it could do was to rain, rain, rain, rain ...

The sun did not shine
It was too wet to play
So we sat in the boat
All that cold, cold, wet day.

I sat there with Jackie
We sat there we two
And I said:
"How I wish we had
Something to do.

Too cold to leave port
Too wet to make sail
So we sat on the boat
We did nothing but wail.

So all we could do was to
Eat, read, sleep, sit
And we did not like it
Not one little bit.

(So we played Scrabble. With deep apologies to Dr Seuss)
